Chess Twist: chess with standard rules on not-so-standard board

A scream blended with a smile? A grumpy face with a bored one? You can pick and choose.

How it works:

There are thousands of possible boards, here are only the ones I printed so far.

There are also pieces, but they are not quite ready yet.

Under each board, you can find a QR code, will will open this page on the exact same board. Then you can drag the pieces around and preview the moves. This can be a nice help if you're not sure what's allowed and what's not.

Printing advice:

When downloading you get a zip file with several 3MF files inside.

• flat: this is the simplest if you have a printer that can easily change color
• relief: if you have one which wastes a lot of filament when printing, this file allows switching color only once per layer. The difference in height between each color is set to 0.2mm, which for a Bambu Lab A1 matches 1 layer. But in my tests, 1 layer per color still leads to some smearing, so I'll be testing it having thinner layers at the top of the board helps.
• relief_prusa: this one should have the same settings but specific for prusa. I unfortunately have not yet been able to test it properly yet.
