Licence
Every model you download comes with a licence. It is personal unless you hold a commercial licence for the collection the model belongs to.
Revision 0.1.0. Draft wording, not final: both texts below are placeholders until they have been read by a solicitor.
Personal use
(Placeholder.) You may print what you download as many times as you like, for yourself and as gifts, and you may modify the files. You may not sell the files, the prints, or anything made from them, and you may not share the files or upload them anywhere. What you paid for is the right to use this model.
Commercial use
(Placeholder.) You may sell prints made from what you download, in any quantity, on any platform, with no attribution required. You may not sell or share the files themselves, and you may not use them inside a product that generates files for other people.
A commercial licence is bought per collection, by the month, from the collection's page. It is priced by your company's annual revenue, which you declare yourself. It covers the configurators in that collection while it is paid, and it stops at the end of the month you cancel in.
What proves which licence you have
Each download records the licence and the revision in force when you bought it, and keeps them. A model you downloaded before you took out a commercial licence stays a personal download in that record. What proves you may sell prints is your commercial licence itself: the collection, the dates it ran, and what you paid. Your account page lists every licence you have held, and we keep those records after a licence ends, so you can show them to a marketplace or an auditor.
Generated models
Models generated from your photos are made with Rodin, by Hyper3D, and the same two licences apply to them.
